Healthcare Travel Costs Scheme (HTCS)

Claim back travel costs to NHS appointments if you're on a low income or certain benefits.

The NHS Healthcare Travel Costs Scheme reimburses reasonable standard-class travel costs to and from NHS appointments for patients (or their child) who receive a qualifying low-income benefit or have a low income, referred by an NHS healthcare professional.
