SEND Tribunal (First-tier Tribunal)
An independent tribunal for appealing EHCP decisions, covering education, health and social care together.
The SEND Tribunal hears appeals from families about their child's EHC plan. Its 'extended powers' let the Tribunal also make non-binding recommendations about the health and social care elements of an EHC plan at the same time as the education appeal, so families can raise all their concerns in one place.

If you disagree with a decision about your child's EHC plan, you can appeal to the SEND Tribunal. Its extended powers mean it can also make recommendations about the health and social care parts of the plan, not just education, in the same appeal.
