The Psychiatry Pathway provides specialist support for children and young people with mental health needs where medication may be considered as part of their care - usually accessed following involvement from other CAMHS teams when further assessment is needed.

Get an initial mental health assessment for your child

The Primary Intervention Team offers consultation, training and short-term treatment for mild-to-moderate difficulties, and handles first contact through the Single Point of Access.

Get early mental health support for your child through their school (Future in Mind MHST)

The Future in Mind Mental Health Support Team (MHST) focuses on early intervention and prevention, working closely with education settings and contributing to the Wakefield Families Together partnership - a genuinely distinct, school-embedded team from CAMHS's clinic-based services.

Get in-depth therapy for your child's ongoing mental health needs

The Specialised Therapies Team provides in-depth, longer-term therapeutic support for children and young people, usually accessed after initial support from another CAMHS team has identified it as beneficial.

Get mental health support as a neurodivergent child or young person

The Neurodiverse Inclusive Support Team (NIST) provides mental health support for neurodivergent children and young people, their caregivers and the professionals working with them - with or without a formal diagnosis.

The Enhanced Outreach Team provides assessment and treatment for young people with experience of local authority care who are experiencing mental health difficulties.

Get treatment for your child's eating disorder

The Eating Disorder Team provides assessment and treatment for diagnosed eating disorders.

Get treatment for your child's severe or complex mental health needs

The CAMHS Core Team delivers assessment and treatment for severe or complex mental health difficulties.

Get urgent mental health crisis support for your child

The ReACH Team provides assessment and time-limited intensive support for young people experiencing an emergency, urgent or intense mental health crisis. Open 8am-8pm, 7 days a week.
