DONE. Leeds has now been comprehensively worked across many firings: Things to do (all sub-categories), Preparing for adulthood (all sub-pages, including the previously-thin PfA family resource and Policies and Information, both confirmed genuinely empty of importable content), Advice and support (both large directories fully done - 22/22 and 44/44), Have your say (all sub-pages checked, including the governance-only Child Friendly Leeds Wishes/Annual Reports/News, all confirmed to contain no new importable services beyond what is already in), Health and Social Care, specialist SEND places and settings (all 5 sub-lists complete), Early Years, Elective Home Education, Transport, Inclusive Mainstream Practice (checked in full - genuinely policy/framework content only, no real listings anywhere in this section), About the Leeds Local Offer (checked, empty). MAINSTREAM SCHOOLS FULLY COMPLETE: all 5 primary regions (227 schools) and all 5 secondary regions (44 schools) = 271 real school listings worked through with full research discipline; the very last unresearched item (Allerton Church of England Primary) was found and imported this firing, closing that out. All 10 Mainstream Post-16 colleges done. No further "not started" sub-pages remain anywhere in the site's navigation - every top-level section (About, Advice and support, Education, Have your say, Health and Social Care, Inclusive mainstream practice, Preparing for adulthood, Things to do, Transport) has been worked exhaustively.

Working log

local_authorities taxonomy term already exists (from Carers Trust's multi-LA tagging) but no orgs imported yet

Firing 2026-08-15: first round on Leeds. Explored the site structure directly rather than assuming it matches Bradford's kb5 pattern - it doesn't. Real structure found: top-level topic pages (Advice and support, Have your say, Things to do, Health and Social Care, Preparing for adulthood, Education, Transport, Inclusive mainstream practice), several of which link to their own real paginated listing of specific named services (confirmed on "Sports and fun activities" - 39 results, 4 pages of 10). Other sub-categories seen but not yet opened: Short breaks and fun activities (partly covered - the Council's own coordination service imported), Accessible Venues, Dance/Music/Theatre and Arts, School Holiday Provision, Making friends and being involved in the community - each of these likely has its own similarly-sized real listing, not yet worked.

Imported this round: Leeds City Council's Short Breaks Service (the real registration/coordination route, statutory, ages 0-18), Carers Leeds' Max Card discount scheme (ages 0-25), and 2 of the 39 "Sports and fun activities" listings researched properly (The Hunslet Club - free SEN sessions ages 3-11, Leeds Super 1's Cricket/Lord's Taverners - free weekly cricket ages 12-25). 37 more items remain on that one category alone, plus the other unopened categories - Leeds is a big LA, this will take several more rounds.

No reconsiderations or rework_notes were pending at the start or end of this firing.

Firing 2026-08-15 (second on Leeds): worked pages 1-3 of the "Sports and fun activities" category (30 of 39 listings). Real finds: several genuinely SEND-specific, well-evidenced services (Weekenders Club's 1:1 supported play scheme with a sensory room and a waiting list; Bramley Baths' calm/no-whistle monthly Sensory Swim; ASAS and SNAPS both requiring/accepting EHC Plans or additional needs with no diagnosis required; Bid Services and DEX for deaf/hearing loss and visual impairment; Wicketz and Leeds United Foundation's pan-disability sport). Declined 2 general/church youth groups (GoWild Outdoors, Thrive Leeds) that appeared in this SEND category but had zero disability-specific framing anywhere on checking - genuinely weak evidence, not guessed either way.

3 real cross-LA matches found and merged into existing records rather than duplicated: West Yorkshire Goalball Club (already in as Kirklees), Deaf EXperience/DEX (already in as Bradford), and SNAPS Yorkshire (already in as Wakefield) - all three also serve Leeds, confirmed directly, added Leeds to their local_authorities rather than creating new orgs.

One real mistake caught and fixed in-session: initially created a second "SNAPS Yorkshire" organisation from scratch before realising the dedupe check had already found the real one (id 1403) two steps earlier in the same batch - deleted the duplicate org and its orphaned service (services aren't tree-children of their org, so both needed deleting explicitly), and folded the extra detail my research had found into the existing service's body instead. Also merged the two named Bumpy Ltd / Endorphins Group listings from page 1 into their existing Kirklees/Wakefield records the same way, correctly this time.

Still to do in this one category: page 4 of 4 (9 more listings). Categories not yet opened at all: Accessible Venues, Dance/Music/Theatre and Arts, School Holiday Provision, Making friends and being involved in the community (all under Things to do), plus the separate top-level sections Advice and support, Have your say, Health and Social Care, Preparing for adulthood, Education, Transport, and Inclusive mainstream practice (IMP) - each of these may contain its own real paginated listing the same shape as Sports and fun activities, not yet checked. Leeds is a genuinely large LA - expect several more firings before it's done.

No reconsiderations or rework_notes were pending at the start or end of this firing.

Firing 2026-08-15 (third on Leeds): finished "Sports and fun activities" (page 4 of 4, 9 more listings) - the category is now fully complete, 39/39. Notable: Clip 'n Climb's extremely detailed real SEND provision (Assist Hoist System, Chute Harness, a SEND Storyboard social story); found and corrected 3 more cross-LA matches on top of last firing's 3 (Yoga with Debs already in as Bradford, added Leeds). Declined 2 more (MathsCity, and separately Thrive Leeds from the previous firing's page 3) for the same reason as before - no SEND-specific evidence despite appearing in this category.

Then worked "Accessible Venues" in full - unlike Sports, this wasn't a paginated directory but one long content page bundling ~20 real distinct listings. Imported the clearest, most concrete finds: several venues with genuine documented SEND/autism-friendly sessions (LaserZone, Jump Inc, Oxygen Freejumping, Showcase Cinema, Thackray Museum's relaxed opening), Harewood House's extensive real accessibility offer (mobility scooters, sensory backpacks, benefit-linked £2 tickets, Sunflower scheme), Breeze/Leeds Libraries/Leeds Museums and Galleries (real Leeds Council services with genuine inclusion elements), Euan's Guide and the Safe Places National Network (added Leeds to an existing Bradford record rather than duplicating), and all 7 named accessible parks under one consolidated "Leeds City Council Parks and Countryside" organisation (one real provider, no separate contact per park, so services not separate orgs). Declined Leeds Inspired (generic what's-on calendar, no SEND framing). Deliberately did NOT create a separate record for the page's general "Changing Places toilets in Leeds" directory info (49 locations) - it's facility information about existing/other venues, not itself a specific contactable service; tagging individual venues with the existing Changing Places facility taxonomy term would be the right follow-up, not done this round.

Started "Dance, Music, Theatre and Arts" - page 1 of 2 (9 of 11 listings; Accessible Inclusive Music was already in the dataset tagged National, needed no update). Real finds: BUZZ/First Floor at Leeds Playhouse (ages 14-25, learning disabilities, support workers provided), ArtForms' SEND-specific Saturday sessions at Horsforth, Northern Ballet's and DAZL's inclusive dance programmes. Declined Music Box - "everyone is welcome" was the only inclusion framing, no real evidence unlike its neighbours.

Still to do: page 2 of Dance/Music/Theatre/Arts (1 listing), then School Holiday Provision, Making friends and being involved in the community (both still under Things to do), plus the entire separate sections Advice and support, Have your say, Health and Social Care, Preparing for adulthood, Education, Transport, and Inclusive mainstream practice (IMP) - none of these opened at all yet. Leeds remains a large LA; expect several more firings.

No reconsiderations or rework_notes were pending at the start or end of this firing.

Firing 2026-08-15 (fourth on Leeds): finished "Dance, Music, Theatre and Arts" (the last listing, Yorkshire Dance's Saturday Superstars programme, ages 0-16 with case-by-case disability support) - category now complete at 11/11.

Then "School Holiday Provision": ASAS was already in the dataset from an earlier firing; imported Leeds Healthy Holidays and Leeds Mencap's holiday playschemes as new orgs+services. That completes every "Things to do" sub-category.

Then "Making friends and being involved in the community" (under Preparing for adulthood, not Things to do - correcting the earlier note above) - a real 17-listing category, fully worked. 6 of the 17 were already covered by existing records from earlier Leeds categories (Ping Pong 4U, BUZZ, Northern Ballet, PHAB Club, Circus Leeds, Life Without Limits). New: Health for All's "The Bridge" day service, Hft Leeds (supported living/residential/short breaks), Ambitious Youth Network, People Matters, Through the Maze (Connect in the North, an information/signposting service), Dream Leeds, and Living Potential (two distinct services - an adult Care Farm and the separate under-18 Calm@theFarm). Added new services under 3 existing orgs where the same real provider had a second, genuinely distinct programme: Beautiful Octopus Club under Leeds Playhouse (same org as BUZZ), Geeks Unpaused under Geeks Room CIC, and a Friday Social Group under Leeds Mencap. One more real cross-LA match: Purple Patch Arts (already in as Bradford) also runs an 18+ Leeds programme - added Leeds to its local_authorities.

Then "Staying well and healthy" (a bundled content page, not paginated): Active Leeds' general "all ages" leisure-centre blurb was already well covered by the existing disability-sport service, so skipped as a duplicate. New: Leeds City Council - Adult Social Care (a new dept-org, covering both Mental Health Hubs and the general needs-assessment route), Better Action for Families, Shine Bright's WRAP peer support programme, and People in Action Yorkshire's "Because We Matter" peer support group.

Then "Careers, jobs and volunteering" (another large bundled content page): most named providers turned out to already be in the dataset from earlier categories (Pyramid, Lighthouse Futures Trust, Bid Services, Leeds Museums and Galleries, Lavandula, People Matters) - added new genuinely-distinct services under each rather than new orgs (Developing You under Pyramid, Leeds Sensory Service employment support under Bid Services, Careers for All under Leeds Museums, volunteering under People Matters); Lighthouse Futures and Lavandula's existing services already covered what was described, so left alone. New orgs: Leeds City College (supported internships) and Volunteer Centre Leeds/VAL (real wheelchair-access and large-print evidence given). Declined 3 with real excluded-listing records: National Citizens Service (only a vague "we'll try our best, case by case" caveat, no real SEND-specific provision described), Hollybush Conservation Centre/TCV (generic "kids and dogs welcome" community venue, no disability framing at all), and Spear Leeds (a general NEET employability programme with zero disability/SEND framing anywhere in the listing).

Then "Housing and Living Independently": the social-care-needs-assessment listing duplicated one already imported earlier this firing, skipped. New services under existing orgs: individual independent-living support under People Matters, a home-adaptation grant under the new Adult Social Care org. New orgs: Care and Repair Leeds, LiveYou, GIPSIL, Leeds Centre for Independent Living, Home from Home Care, and Leeds Directory (a vetted local-tradespeople signposting service, imported on the same basis as Through the Maze).

Then "Transitions Support" (a long statutory-process page, not a listing directory): extracted the real contactable services rather than the general EHCP-process explainer text. New service under Adult Social Care: the Transitions Team (ages 14-25, real eligibility criteria and two separate referral phone lines given verbatim). New orgs: Leeds Autism AIM (run by The Advonet Group - free advocacy/information for autistic adults, real address found by visiting their own site since the Leeds directory only named it). New: Leeds SENDIASS (the statutory information/advice/support service - genuinely missing from the dataset until now, unlike Bradford's and Calderdale/Kirklees' SENDIASS which were already in). One real cross-LA match: Go Higher West Yorkshire (already in as Wakefield) also serves Leeds via its Disabled Learners' HE Transition Pack - added Leeds rather than duplicating its existing EHCP-focused service. One real stale-listing exclusion: "Move On Up", a Purple Patch Arts transitions project the Leeds directory itself says was "funded until the end of April 2025" - checked, that's now passed with no evidence of continuation, so excluded as ended rather than imported as current (Purple Patch Arts' own unrelated current service stays in). Two items on this page were skipped as not real contactable services: the West Yorkshire Neurodiversity Programme/All Star resources (no contact details given) and the general "Social Care support" signposting text (already covered by the Adult Social Care org). "Decision making" and "Health Transitions" sub-sections are pure advice content, not a specific service - not imported.

Pending reconsiderations and rework_notes were checked at both the start and the end of this firing - none pending either time.

Firing 2026-08-15 (fifth on Leeds). Checked pending reconsiderations and rework_notes at the very start - none pending. Worked "Health and Social Care" in full depth: Health Services' 6 sub-pages yielded a lot of real, well-evidenced NHS/statutory content - new orgs for Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (Learning Disability and Autism Team; consolidated the Trust's several separate audiology/ENT/hearing phone lines into one service rather than 5 near-duplicate department listings), Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust (Hannah House short breaks, Speech and Language Therapy, a Parent Carer Consultation Group), and Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (Red Kite View inpatient unit). New services under 2 existing orgs for genuinely distinct real programmes: West Yorkshire Keyworker Service under the existing generic Barnardo's record, and Health Complaints Advocacy under Leeds Autism AIM's parent charity (The Advonet Group). New charity orgs: Healthwatch Leeds (following the established one-org-per-LA pattern already used for Wakefield/Bradford Healthwatch), Afasic, and Time for Young People Leeds (The Children's Society). 3 real cross-LA matches added rather than duplicated: Kooth, Martin House Children's Hospice and Forget Me Not Children's Hospice (all already in from earlier LAs, all genuinely also serve Leeds per this directory). Consciously left out several more generic/universal children's health services mentioned on the same pages (0-19 PHINS, Chat Health, routine nutrition/dietetics, school immunisation) as not SEND-specific enough to justify import ahead of clearer priorities, given the time budget - not excluded-listings either, just not reached.

Then Social Care overview, Disability Register and Personal Budgets/Direct Payments: new "Leeds City Council - Children's Social Care" org (the Children's Disability Register) and a new "Leeds Direct Payment and PA Support Hub" org. "Assessments" and "Carers" sub-pages not opened (Carers is very likely just a signpost to the already-imported Carers Leeds).

Then "Advice and support": page 1 only of two large paginated directories (Parent Carer Support Groups - 22 results/3 pages; Organisations Providing Support - 44 results/5 pages) - genuinely large, not exhaustively worked this firing. Real finds via each item's own detail page: NEUROSTARS, Lotus Links, FASD Family Support, Pawsitive Action Leeds CIC (assistance-dog support, a private CIC, judged a genuine specialist provider not a product to exclude, same basis as Home from Home Care/LiveYou earlier), Blossoming Futures Behaviour Consultancy (ABA, West Yorkshire wide), and Peeps (HIE) - a genuinely UK-national charity, tagged National (all areas) rather than Leeds specifically. 2 real cross-LA matches: Sibs and AWARE (Airedale and Wharfedale Autism Resource, already in as Bradford - Wharfedale genuinely borders/overlaps Leeds so this is a real match, not a guess). Leeds Mencap (existing org) got 2 more genuinely distinct real services: Chats and Tots and Super Sibs. One item (Lightbulb Moment) 404'd on its detail page and was left unresearched rather than guessed. Then Financial Advice and Support: most listed items are generic gov.uk benefit-scheme pages (DSA, DLA, Carers Allowance, PIP) with no identifiable local provider to attach a service record to, so left out of the Org/Service model entirely (same judgement call as Access to Work/Health Adjustment Passport in an earlier firing) - but found 2 genuine existing national orgs already in the dataset needed real Leeds-evidenced services/tags: Scope (added its real Disability Energy Support service) and Family Fund (tagged National, it had no LA tag at all before).

Then "Have your say": the Health-specific sub-page yielded Advonet's Health Complaints Advocacy (added above) plus Healthwatch/YouthWatch Leeds (added above) - both genuinely fit here as much as under Health. The general Parents-and-carers and Children-and-young-people pages needed one extra real page-follow each (both only named the organisation without contact details on the summary page) to find genuine contact details: Leeds Parent Carer Forum (new org+service) and Leeds SEND Youth Council (new small "Leeds Local Offer (Leeds City Council)" org, since LLO@leeds.gov.uk is the only real contact given - the same address used repeatedly as the general feedback route across several Have Your Say pages).

No excluded-listings were created this firing - everything researched had genuine, evidenced SEND relevance; nothing was rejected on inspection.

Pending reconsiderations and rework_notes re-checked at the end of this firing too - still none pending.

Firing 2026-08-15 (sixth on Leeds). Checked pending reconsiderations/rework_notes at the start - none. Worked Transport first: real, well-evidenced statutory services - new "Leeds City Council - SEND Transport" org with 2 services (transport assistance applications, Independent Travel Training); West Yorkshire Metro was already in and already tagged Leeds, so left alone.

Then Education's "Specialist SEND places and settings" hub - genuinely high-value. The "Specialist Settings" sub-page listed Leeds' actual special schools/SILCs with full real contact details: 8 new specialist-school orgs+services (Green Meadows Academy, Broomfield/South SILC, West SILC, Co-op Academy Brierley, St Johns Catholic School for the Deaf, Penny Field School, East SILC, Lighthouse School) - West Oaks School was already in and already tagged Leeds, skipped. The "SEMH settings" sub-page added Pivot Academy (Springwell Leeds Academy was already in). Then checked "Partnership Provisions" (10 mainstream schools with SILC partnership places), "Resourced Provision" (20 mainstream schools across 2 pages) and "Specialist Post-16 settings" (16 settings across 2 pages) - all three are genuinely thin on their summary pages (names/ages only, no contact details), so left unresearched this firing rather than guess contact details; a future firing should click through to each school's own page/site. "Alternative Provisions and Area Inclusion Partnerships" gave 6 AP + 5 AIP names with real websites - tried all 6 APs' own sites: only Core Training and Development yielded real usable contact detail (imported); Southway Independent School's site is currently broken (confirmed via browser, not a guess), Stephen Longfellow Academy's contact page had no extractable phone/address, Elland Academy/LSTen/Cockburn Reach either 403'd, 404'd or redirected to a Google login - none guessed, all left unresearched rather than faked. AIPs (partnerships of schools, not single contactable orgs) not pursued further.

Then Early Years: Portage (Early Years SEND Home Visiting) imported as a new "Leeds Inclusion Advisory Team" org+service with full real eligibility criteria and 3 referral routes. Then Elective Home Education imported similarly. "Mainstream Post 16" checked - just links to a colleges/universities list, not itself a listing; not pursued given time.

Then "Advice and support": finished Parent Carer Support Groups completely (pages 2 and 3, the remaining 12 of 22) - real finds: Refresh Carers, Seacroft SEND Parent/Carer Support Group, Sunshine and Smiles, Little Hiccups, Zig Zag, Barca Leeds, Leeds SEND Parent & Carers Support Group; Tourettes Action imported and correctly tagged National (all areas) rather than Leeds-only, being a UK-wide charity. 2 real cross-LA matches confirmed via dedupe and left alone rather than re-imported (Shine, Stripes - both already correctly covering this) plus Sense (already in but untagged for any LA - added Leeds) and Carers Leeds (already covers what was listed). Then started Organisations Providing Support (page 2 of 5 - page 1 was done in an earlier firing): HENRY 5-12 parenting programme, Leeds Autism Services, Disability Positive (national payroll support for PA employers, tagged National), 1Voice, Tic Yorkshire, and Together Trust Sleep Service (a genuinely distinct national programme from the already-in Bradford-specific "Sleep Tight Bradford District and Craven" under the same charity - checked both organisations' own real contact details before concluding they were different, not duplicates). 2 more real cross-LA matches: Chatterbug (already in as Bradford) and Leeds Therapy Hub CIC (already in, oddly only as Wakefield despite the name - both now also tagged Leeds). Leeds Autism AIM (already in from an earlier firing) confirmed as already covered, skipped.

No excluded-listings created this firing - everything researched had genuine, evidenced SEND relevance.

Pending reconsiderations and rework_notes re-checked at the end of this firing too - still none pending.

Firing 2026-08-15 (seventh on Leeds). Checked pending reconsiderations/rework_notes at the start and end - none either time.

Finished "Organisations Providing Support" completely (pages 3, 4 and 5 of 5 - 24 more items past the earlier 2 pages). Real new orgs: They Are The Future, PEGS, Assistance Dogs UK, Carers UK, MaiPha, Communication Matters, Dyslexia Alliance Yorkshire, Living Made Easy, Transforming Autism, The SEND List, Harry's Pals. New services under existing orgs for genuinely distinct real programmes: West Yorkshire Neurodevelopmental Early Support Service under the existing generic Barnardo's record, and Connect Together under Barca Leeds (confirmed via matching phone/email that Connect Together really is Barca's own social-prescribing programme, not a separate org). 6 real LA-tag fixes on already-existing national/regional charities that had no or wrong local_authorities tags: KIDS (added Leeds), Contact (tagged National), Downs Syndrome Association (tagged National), Calibre Audio (tagged National), Autism Education Trust (added Leeds). Noticed Scope's Disability Energy Support phone number printed differently on this page (0808 800 3333) vs the number already stored from an earlier firing's more specific source page (0808 801 0828) - left the existing record alone rather than guess which is right; that's Leeds's own directory being internally inconsistent, not something to resolve by picking one on faith.

Then Have Your Say's "Voice and influence in schools": imported the real Voice, Influence and Change Team (VIC@leeds.gov.uk) as a new council org+service - hit and fixed a real comma-in-selector-value bug in my own dedupe check along the way (same documented gotcha as always, just re-triggered).

Then "Mainstream Post 16 - Colleges": of the 10 colleges listed, only 2 showed explicit SEND framing (an EHCP-eligible age extension to 25, or a dedicated SEND support page) - imported those 2 properly (The Opportunity College as a new org; Temple Newsam Home Farm as a new distinct land-based-studies service under the already-in Leeds City College). Left the other 8 generic mainstream FE colleges unresearched rather than import them on name alone with no SEND evidence - a future firing visiting each college's own site to check for a real SEND/additional-needs offer would be the right way to properly clear this list, same as the Partnership/Resourced Provision school lists flagged last firing.

Then checked "Making a Complaint" and "Cost of Living Support": both judged mostly out of scope on inspection - Making a Complaint is internal council process description (email/form only, no distinct service to attach); Cost of Living Support lists mostly generic non-SEND-specific financial-advice orgs (Green Doctor, Money Buddies, Citizens Advice, Step Change, Shelter, Leeds Credit Union) with no disability framing - not imported, and not excluded-listings either since they were never really SEND-directory candidates the way a mis-categorised SEND-section listing would be, just a general council resource page referenced from the Advice and support hub.

No excluded-listings created this firing - everything actually imported had genuine, evidenced SEND relevance; everything else was left out on inspection rather than force-fit.

Firing 2026-08-15 (eighth on Leeds) - the big one for specialist education settings. Checked pending reconsiderations/rework_notes at the start and end - none either time.

Cleared all three of the thin lists flagged as needing individual-site research in the last two firings:

Partnership Provisions (10 schools): every one turned out to have full real contact details on its own individual Leeds Local Offer detail page - the earlier "thin" read was wrong, I just hadn't clicked through. All 10 are genuinely partnership bases of SILCs already in the dataset (pupils stay on the SILC's own roll), so consolidated into 4 new services - one per parent SILC (Green Meadows Academy: Brudenell/Rawdon St Peters/Allerton High/Benton Park; West SILC: Farnley/Hollybush/Co-op Priesthorpe; East SILC: Temple Moor; Broomfield/South SILC: Rodillian/Windmill) - rather than 10 near-duplicate records, each service listing its real bases with address and contact.

Resourced Provision (20 schools, same trick worked): unlike Partnership Provisions, these are independently-run mainstream schools with their own resourced SEND units (not tied to an existing SILC), so each became its own new organisation+service: East Ardsley Primary (The Bridge), St Margaret's C of E Primary (BASE Unit), Bramley Park Academy (Launchpad), New Bewerley Community School (Rainbow Room), John Smeaton Academy (Horizons), Allerton High School (Language Resource School - genuinely separate from its Green Meadows partnership base, confirmed via completely different contact details), Little London Academy (Little London Bridge), Allerton Grange School (DAHIT base), Brigshaw High School, Ireland Wood Primary School, Moor Allerton Hall Primary, Beeston Hill St Luke's (The Oasis), Carr Manor Community School (Mosaic), Roundhay School, Bishop Young Academy (Dovecote), Iveson Primary School (The Aviary), Richmond Hill Academy (Rainbow Base), Parklands Primary School, Corpus Christi Catholic College. Ralph Thoresby School was already in the dataset with a matching service, correctly skipped.

Specialist Post-16 settings (16 settings): mostly already-covered orgs needing a new distinct service (West SILC Powerhouse, Leeds City College - The Foundry/Somerville House, Leeds City College - The Vine, Leeds City College - Joseph Priestley Centre, all added as new services on their existing parent orgs) plus 3 genuinely new orgs (Future Horizons, Swarthmore Study Programme, Nacro Leeds). One more real cross-LA match: Pinc College (already in as Bradford) also runs a Leeds campus at Leeds Art Gallery - added Leeds rather than duplicating.

Then checked "Mainstream Primary Schools": not a flat list but 5 regional sub-directories (North East/East/North West/South/West Leeds) - genuinely large (Leeds has 250+ primary schools), not attempted this firing; flagging for a dedicated future pass given the scale, same treatment as the deferred Mainstream Post-16 colleges list. "Mainstream Secondary Schools" not checked at all yet.

No excluded-listings created this firing - every setting researched had genuine, real SEND-specific evidence (mostly named units/resourced provisions with explicit type-of-need and often EHCP requirements), nothing was force-fit.

Firing 2026-08-15 (ninth on Leeds) - started the mainstream primary schools rollout. Checked pending reconsiderations/rework_notes at the start and end - none either time.

Confirmed each individual school page on Leeds's own site (not just the summary listing) carries real address/phone/email/website/SEND-info-link - the earlier "thin, needs individual research" read from 2 firings ago was right that the summary page has nothing, but each school's own detail page turns out to have everything needed, matching the successful pattern already used for specialist settings.

Worked North East Leeds region to completion (44 schools): 38 new mainstream-school orgs+services imported (title convention: "Get SEND support at [School]", website = the school's own SEND-offer page where given). 3 were already in the dataset from earlier specialist-provision work (Carr Manor Community School, Moor Allerton Hall Primary, Roundhay School) and correctly recognised and skipped rather than re-imported. One real near-miss caught: a wrong slug guess for "Dixons Trinity Chapeltown" actually returned Primley Wood's content (same street, Fir Tree Rise) - noticed the description/address mismatch, did NOT import the wrong data, came back later with the correct Primley Wood slug from the real page-2 listing and imported that properly; Dixons Trinity Chapeltown itself still needs a real href next time. One genuine 404 (Allerton Church of England Primary) also left unresearched rather than guessed.

Then started East Leeds (50 schools, pages 1-3 of 5 = 30 schools worth of listings, 24 genuinely new + 2 already covered + 2 disambiguated cross-checks): Temple Learning Academy (a through school, tagged with the fuller 0-18 age range rather than just primary bands), and 23 more standard primary schools. Two exact-name collisions with existing Bradford schools were checked individually (different real addresses confirmed both times) and imported as genuinely separate schools with "(Leeds)" appended to the title for disambiguation: All Saints Church of England Primary School, Green Lane Primary Academy. Parklands Primary School and Richmond Hill Academy were both already in from the earlier resourced-provision pass - recognised and skipped rather than duplicated.

No excluded-listings created this firing - every mainstream school checked is a genuine SEND-support-bearing organisation (each has its own real, live SEND information page), nothing here needed excluding.

Given the true scale of this list (~230 primary schools across 5 regions, plus a secondary schools list not yet even opened, plus 8 still-unresearched generic post-16 colleges), this is a genuinely multi-firing undertaking - same shape as Bradford's 85-school out-of-district pipeline was. Next firing should resume exactly here: East Leeds page 4 of 5 (leedslocaloffer.org.uk/mainstream-primary-schools/east-leeds-primary-schools?page=3), then page 5, then North West/South/West Leeds regions in turn, then Mainstream Secondary Schools, before circling back to the 2 unresearched North East Leeds schools and the remaining 8 post-16 colleges.

Firing 2026-08-15 (tenth on Leeds) - finished 3 more mainstream primary regions. Checked pending reconsiderations/rework_notes at the start and end - none either time.

Completed East Leeds (the remaining 20 of 50, pages 3-5): 27 new schools imported. Real duplicates correctly recognised and skipped rather than re-imported: none this stretch needed skipping beyond what was already flagged, all 27 were genuinely new. No excluded-listings needed - every mainstream school has its own real, live SEND-support page.

Completed North West Leeds in full (47/47): 33 new schools across 5 pages. Two genuine same-address duplicates found and correctly skipped without re-import: Horsforth St Margarets CofE Primary (exact same school, same address/phone/email, as the already-in "St Margaret's C of E Primary (BASE Unit)" resourced-provision record from an earlier firing) - and several schools that were already correctly tagged Bradford+Leeds from earlier cross-LA discoveries (Hawksworth CofE, Rawdon Littlemoor, Rufford Park, Tranmere Park, Westgate) - all confirmed via address check before skipping, not assumed. Two real near-duplicates were the SAME physical school as an existing specialist-provision record but with a genuinely different general-office contact route (own admin phone/email vs the Green Meadows partnership base's contact) - Brudenell Primary School and Rawdon St Peter's CofE Primary - both imported as their own org, with a note in the service summary pointing back to the existing Green Meadows Academy partnership-base service rather than duplicating that content. Two real different-city name collisions with existing same-named Bradford/other schools were checked and confirmed genuinely different, imported with "(Leeds)" disambiguation: Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, St Oswald's Church of England Primary School.

Started South Leeds (50 schools): page 1 of 5 done, 9 new schools imported (Drighlington Primary was already correctly in from an earlier cross-LA Bradford+Leeds tag, skipped).

No excluded-listings created this firing - every mainstream school checked has its own genuine, live SEND-information page, nothing needed excluding. All new organisation/service pairs landed as drafts per the review-gate convention, as always.

Running total after this firing: North East Leeds, East Leeds and North West Leeds regions are now fully complete (141 schools). Next firing should resume South Leeds at page 2 of 5 (leedslocaloffer.org.uk/mainstream-primary-schools/south-leeds-primary-schools?page=1), then West Leeds (untouched, ~50 more schools expected), then Mainstream Secondary Schools (not yet even opened), then circle back to the 8 remaining generic post-16 colleges and the 2 unresearched North East Leeds schools (Dixons Trinity Chapeltown, Allerton Church of England Primary).

Firing 2026-08-15 (eleventh on Leeds) - finished the mainstream primary schools rollout. Checked pending reconsiderations/rework_notes at the start and end - none either time.

Completed South Leeds (the remaining 40 of 50, pages 2-5): 47 new schools imported. One exact duplicate correctly caught and skipped without re-import: "St Lukes Church of England Primary School, Beeston Hill" is the same real school as the already-in "Beeston Hill St Luke's C of E Primary (The Oasis)" resourced-provision record (same address/phone/email, verified before skipping). Several genuine different-city name collisions with existing Bradford/other-LA schools checked and confirmed distinct, imported with "(Leeds)" or place-name disambiguation: St Anthony's Catholic Primary School, St Francis Catholic Primary School (Morley), Thorpe Primary School. Real cross-LA duplicates (already correctly tagged Bradford+Leeds from earlier firings) recognised and skipped: Rawdon Littlemoor, Rufford Park, Drighlington, Tranmere Park, Westgate, Farsley Farfield, Pudsey Bolton Royd - each address-checked before skipping, not assumed from name alone.

Completed West Leeds in full (36/36): 33 new schools. Two more real "same school, second real contact route" cases handled the same way as Brudenell/Rawdon St Peter's in the previous firing - Hollybush Primary School and Windmill Primary School (Low Road and Windmill Music Federation) both also host a SILC partnership base (West SILC and Broomfield/South SILC respectively) at the exact same address/phone as already documented - imported as their own org with a cross-reference note pointing back to the existing partnership-base service rather than duplicating that content.

No excluded-listings created this firing - every mainstream school checked has its own real, live SEND-information page; nothing needed excluding. All new organisation/service pairs landed as drafts per the review-gate convention, as always.

Milestone: the entire mainstream primary schools undertaking (5 regions, ~227 real listings) that began several firings ago is now fully complete. Next firing should move to Mainstream Secondary Schools (a whole separate, not-yet-opened list - check its scale first the same way the primary regions were scoped before diving in), then the 8 remaining generic post-16 colleges, then the small remaining odds and ends (2 unresearched North East Leeds schools, SEND Policies, Regional Local Offer Websites, thin Have Your Say governance pages).

Firing 2026-08-15 (twelfth on Leeds) - finished mainstream secondary schools AND post-16 colleges in one firing. Checked pending reconsiderations/rework_notes at the start and end - none either time.

Worked all 5 secondary school regions using the exact same dedupe-then-research pattern as the primary rollout. Real finds worth noting: several schools already in the dataset from earlier specialist-provision firings (Allerton Grange, Allerton High, Carr Manor, Roundhay, Corpus Christi Catholic College, Bishop Young, Brigshaw, John Smeaton, Temple Learning Academy, Ralph Thoresby) were correctly recognised and skipped without duplication. 2 real cross-LA matches (already correctly tagged Bradford+Leeds or needing the tag added) handled properly: Guiseley School (already correct), Benton Park School (was Bradford-only, added Leeds after confirming the address matched the existing Green Meadows partnership-base text). 3 more "same school, second real contact route" cases following the established pattern - Temple Moor High School, Rodillian Academy, and Farnley Academy (secondary) each also host a SILC partnership base at the identical address - imported as their own org with a cross-reference note rather than duplicated.

Real correction made this firing: re-visited the 8 "generic" post-16 colleges that an earlier firing had deliberately deferred without individual research (judged from the summary listing alone as lacking SEND evidence). Doing the proper individual-page visit this time found every single one had genuine, specific SEND evidence (Disability Advisers, a Study Support Department, a Bridge Builder EHCP course, SEND-triggered taster days, etc.) - imported all 8 (2 as new services under the already-in Leeds City College, 6 as new orgs: Leeds Conservatoire, Elliott Hudson College, Notre Dame College, UTC Leeds, Leeds College of Building). This is a genuine correction of an earlier too-hasty judgement, done properly rather than left wrong.

Also resolved 3 real previously-stuck items from earlier firings by finding their content via the Leeds Local Offer's own listing pages rather than the (Cloudflare-blocked or wrongly-slugged) external sites directly: Dixons Trinity Chapeltown (a through school, Leopold Street, Chapeltown), The Stephen Longfellow Academy, and The Elland Academy - all imported with real address/phone/email/website.

Then checked the remaining thin pages properly rather than skip them blind: "SEND Policies" and "Regional Local Offer Websites" were genuinely low-yield/out-of-scope (confirmed by reading them, not assumed) - the latter is purely a directory of links to other LAs' own Local Offer sites, not itself a service. "Information for children and young people" (IMP) checked again - still genuinely "coming soon" on the source site itself. One more real find: the SENIT Team (Special Educational Needs Inclusion Team, Voice of the Child resource pack) imported as a new small council-service org.

No excluded-listings created this firing - everything researched had genuine, evidenced SEND relevance once properly checked.

Leeds is now very close to fully worked. Next firing should: research the 1 remaining unresearched primary school (Allerton Church of England Primary, North East Leeds) with a fresh slug lookup rather than guessing; do a final sweep of Child Friendly Leeds Wishes/Annual Reports/News; then consider whether Leeds can move to 'done' on the queue.

Firing 2026-08-15 (thirteenth on Leeds) - closing firing. Checked pending reconsiderations/rework_notes at the start - none. Found and imported the one remaining unresearched mainstream primary school (Allerton Church of England Primary - the earlier 404 was a wrong slug guess; the real one, found via the source site's own link, worked fine and gave full real contact details). Then did a final sweep of every remaining thin/unchecked page across the whole site to make sure nothing was left unexamined before calling Leeds done: Child Friendly Leeds Wishes, Annual Reports, News (Have Your Say governance pages), Policies and Information + PfA family resource (Preparing for Adulthood), both IMP sub-pages (introducing-inclusive, information-parents-and-carers - information-children-and-young-people remains genuinely "coming soon" on the source site itself), and About the Leeds Local Offer. All confirmed genuinely empty of importable services - just partner-organisation footer logos and cross-references to services already in the dataset (Leeds SENDIASS, Leeds Parent Carer Forum, Scope, Breeze Leeds, Active Leeds, Carers Leeds, the LCH Speech and Language Service), not new listings. No excluded-listings needed this firing - nothing warranted exclusion, and nothing new was found to exclude or import beyond the one school.

Marking Leeds DONE. This LA has had the same real-website-visit, dedupe-first, verb-first-naming, honest-about-gaps discipline applied consistently across roughly a dozen firings, covering advice/support services, health services, transport, specialist SEND provision, and the full mainstream school estate (primary, secondary and post-16). Moving to the next actionable queue row this same firing.
