Service
Get support for your child's ARFID (avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder)
This service helps children under 18 with an eating problem called ARFID. ARFID makes it hard to eat enough food. It can cause weight loss or stop a child growing well. Your child must be registered with a doctor in Calderdale or Kirklees.
A team of experts helps your child. This team has mental health workers, occupational therapists, and dietitians (food experts). They may give advice, run a course for parents, or work with your child one-to-one.
Time-limited support for under-18s with ARFID who have a significant physical health impact - faltering growth, weight loss or unmanaged nutritional deficiencies. Must be registered with a Calderdale or Kirklees GP.
Delivered by a team of mental health practitioners, occupational therapists, dietitians and support workers, working collaboratively with other teams. Support can include professional consultation, a parent training course, or one-to-one interventions.
